GUS SOLOMONS Jr

Gus Solomons jr is a movement performer, choreographic mentor, dance reviewer, and actor. After graduating from MIT, Bach. of Architecture, he danced in New York with Donald McKayle, Pearl Lang, Martha Graham, and Merce Cunningham before founding Solomons Company/Dance (1972-94) and PARADIGM-dance (1996-2011).

AYODELE CASEL

One of The New York Times' "Biggest Breakout Stars of 2019", Ayodele Casel, “a tap dancer of fine-grained musicianship” (The New Yorker), is a 2019-2020 fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University where she is researching and developing her next theatrical work. Born in The Bronx and raised in Puerto Rico, Ayodele began her professional training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her origins in theater and love for storytelling and tap dance have significantly contributed to the narrative nature in her work, which is rooted in the expression of identity, culture, language, and communication.

MIKE ESPERANZA

Mike Esperanza is an acclaimed artist from New York who has established a national presence in the dance communities. Mike’s work garnered Dance/USA's “Dance: Creation for Performance”, the “Innerstate” tour presented by ODC Theater, the paid engagement award at the Palm Desert Choreography Under the Stars Festival, the 2014 Reverb Dance Festival commission award and the CUNY Dance Initiative. Mike’s work has been described as “bold, athletic movement and theatricality – the company epitomizes the dance of the new millennium: shape-shifting, vernacular-blending with a prescient focus on the brave new world in which we live.” ~ Jessica Abrams, Explore Dance

LMnO3!

The collaborative trio LMnO3 (Deborah Lohse, Cori Marquis and Donnell Oakley) met in 2010 while working with Doug Elkins in Fräulein Maria, and joyfully launched into a choreographic partnership in 2014. Their first evening-length piece, B.A.N.G.S.: made in america, was commissioned by Dance Now NYC and premiered in 2016 at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater. LMnO3 has been seen performing at American Dance Festival, MusikFest in PA, Dance Now Boston, Denver’s Clocktower Cabaret, The Yard, Dance Place in DC, Ringling International Arts Festival in Sarasota, FL. Triskelion Arts and the 92Y.

HUMA

HUMA is a multi discipline arts collective focused on developing new works that encourage artistic collaboration. HUMA is connected to a growing community of artists in New York City. Since December 2016, HUMA has performed on many stages in New York City including Joe's Pub, Soaking WET, Judson Church, Dixon Place, Arts On Site and Top Floor West Fest. HUMA’s Artistic Directors come from an international background of creating and performing work in places such as England, Germany, Israel, Spain, Japan, Philippines, West Africa, and the United States. Bringing together multiple experiences from international travels and professional outreach, the present work is influenced by a wide range of different cultures and seeks to become a forum for storytelling world-wide

TRICIA BROUK

Tricia Brouk is an international award winning director. She works in theater, film and television. In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, she applies her expertise to the art of public speaking. She’s the executive producer of The Big Talk Live. She choreographed Black Box on ABC, The Affair on Showtime, Rescue Me on Fox, and John Turturro’s Romance and Cigarettes, where she was awarded a Golden Thumb Award from Roger Ebert. The series Sublets, won Best Comedy at the Vancouver Web-Festival. She curates and hosts the Speaker Salon in NYC, The Big Talk an award winning podcast on iTunes and YouTube and directs and produces The Big Talk Over Dinner a new tv series. She was recently awarded Top Director of 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals and her documentary Right Livelihood A Journey to Here about the Buddhist Chaplain at Rikers Island won Best Documentary Short at The Olympus Film Festival and You’re Gorgeous, I Love Your Shirt, An Inside Look at Bullying and Mental Health is also won Official Selection at The Awareness Film Festival
