DN Next Generation exposes your students to a variety of diverse and inspiring dance artists working in the field today. For the normal investment of only $1 per student/faculty member, you will gain a front-row seat to the premiere of 20-30 new choreographic commissions, access to a database of archival works from past seasons, thought-provoking interviews and discussions with the artists, and your students will have the opportunity to present their own digital choreography at our Student Screendance Showcase. In addition, you will have accass to our roster of nationally recognized dance artists who are avaliable to schedule residencies and teaching experiences for your students fro standardized rates.
It is an affordable integration of guest artist chorepgraphy, workshops, interviews, and performances on an ongoing basis."
— Tim Cowart, M.F.A., Western Oregon University

Access to digital dance on-demand

Your students will have a front-row seat to the premiere of 30 new works next year. And be given access to our meet-the-artist events where the choreographers talk aout their creative process and the ideas/challenges surrounding each new work.
DN NEXT GENERATION seperates classes into technique classes, where the classes focus on learning a dance style or interpretation of a style, creative classes, where students will work on developing their own or idea for the future, and supportive practice classes, which focus on trainings that support dancer health and mindfulness.

Select an artist from our growing list of teachers and we will handle scheduling, coordinating details and needs, and arranging travel. Classes can be taught virtually or in-person. We have a roster of over 30+ diverse dance artists who are ready to teach a guest class for you.

Workshops can be in a variety of genres: modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop technique, choreographic structures, partnering, performance techniques, pilates for dancers, injury prevention, nutrition for dancers, dance on camera, speech and movement, dance repertory, and more!
Teacher Roster
Your students are able to have their digital choreographic work presented nationally by partcipating in our Student Screendance Showcase. This virtual event celebrates your students-- our rising generation of dance artists. Students from dance colleges and universities across the country come together to present their short dance films (3 min or less) in a digital concert that is open to the public and the larger DANCE NOW community.

Moderated by long-time dance advocate, Tim Cowart, M.F.A., these interviews, open discussions, and conversations provide a deeper analysis into critically important dance related issues. Your students and faculty will be able to Zoom in and join from anywhere in the country with dance artists and experts in the field.
